Molly is a sweet snugglebug of a Shih Tzu who is 2 years old, and weighs only 9lbs. She loves to be held and sleeps right beside you. Molly was rescued from a crowded kill shelter. She was heartworm positive and has been treated successfully. Because she's been recovering from her heartworm treatment, she has not been outside much, but when she is outside, she is right beside a member of the family. She walks well on a leash and car rides are also no problem for this laid back little Tzu girl. She is house trained using a piddle pad indoors but also "goes" when outside. Molly is the perfect companion for someone who spends a lot of time at home and wants a dog who is an adoring, by your side companion. Molly is fostering in South Carolina.

Meet Ricki. This cute little male Yorkshire Terrier was born in Jan 2009. He weights 4-5 pounds and is the sweetest little boy. He is very nervous of strangers, however he quickly adapts to them. He has learned to go up stairs, but is finding it a little difficult to come back down. Ricki is not house trained, but is learning to use a pee pad. He loves to cuddle in your lap and could stay there forever. Ricki enjoys running around outside, rolling in the wet grass and just enjoys the warm weather. He will bark at cats but has not chased them. He's working on his "leash walking" and "car riding" skills; he still gets a little carsick. He loves to take his baths, which is a good thing, because this little terrier boy loves to play in the mud and dirt. Ricki came to rescue from a commercial breeder and is still learning to be someone's beloved Yorkie baby. He has made good progress but needs an at home person who can continue working with him on social skills and house training. He also needs another small dog to play with and learn from. Ricki is fostering in New England, and can travel to his forever home.

Mia is a darling 12 lb., chocolate brown Shih Tzu - Pug mix girl. Sadly, Mia lost her family when they could no longer afford to care for her. It is obvious that she was very much loved - she is sweet, well mannered and potty trained. She misses her kids and would do well in a home with older children and another fursibling. Beware, the spell of Mia is powerful, all who meet her fall in love instantly! She is a wonderful and adorable little "Pug - Tzu"... Mia is currently fostering in the Mid Atlantic Area

DaVinci is a very handsome 3 yr. old Shih Tzu boy who loves to follow his people all around.  As a calm and quiet pup, he is a bit shy at first and starting to blossom and feel much more comfortable.  He is nicely housetrained, and likes to go outside in the fenced yard.  He will need more practice leash walking and would do best with another pup.  DaVinci's foster parents describe him as a precious little man with a very gentle soul.  This Shih Tzu is fostering in New York.

Humphrey the Lhasa Apso is a very happy boy when he sees his leash, and he's great on long car rides.  This handsome boy is about 9 yrs old and weighs 22 lbs.  He loves sleeping in the big bed and is gentle when taking a treat.  Humphrey is housetrained, good with cats and older children.  He may do best as an only dog, although a submissive furry sibling may be alright.  This Lhasa boy seems to prefer the company of men, and is fostering in CT.

These adorable Pomeranian Puppies were born on February 1, 2010.  Jimmi and Dotti each currently weigh about 2 lbs.  Each pup is very social and loves being handled.  They are non-stop play machines, and very active and curious.  Each baby will require placement with a stay-at-home or work-at-home human.  These adorable Pomeranian puppies are fostering in CT.

Ollie is an 19 lb., 7 year old Shih Tzu who is a sweet little fellow. When Ollie first came to us he was timid with everything. Slowly, he has blossomed and began playing with the other dogs and now is one of the most playful dogs we have. Ollie romps and wrestles and chases the other dogs in and out of the doggie door - just one play date after another! However, he is still cautious with people and although he will now come up to us, he rarely lets us pet him. When we do get a chance to hold him he will accept some petting but wants to get back to the security of his fur buddies. Ollie will need a special family to blossom into the secure, happy dog he deserves to be. He is housetrained and good with cats and MUST have another furbuddy to play with. Roxy is a 3 yr. old Shih Tzu girl who weighs about 17 lbs. She is a loving laid back lady who is great with other dogs, kids and new friends. She loves to play, yet likes time for herself.  She has some allergies which effect her skin, and she is totally fine with a proper diet.  Roxy likes to sleep in the big bed with her sisters, yet she will also stretch out on a dog bed for the night.... LuLu is a pretty 7 yr. old Lhasa Apso girl who weighs about 15 lbs.  She's a friendly and affectionate lady who loves staying close to her people.  LuLu is nicely housetrained, and would enjoy a home with a fenced in yard because she likes to romp around outside.  She would do best as an only dog, and is on a prescription diet.  LuLu the Lhasa is fostering in New York.
